Anesthesiology Department
The Department of Anesthesiology is a key department within the hospital, responsible for providing anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures, pain-free diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and analgesic resuscitation for critically ill patients. Its scope of practice encompasses general anesthesia, neuraxial anesthesia, and nerve block anesthesia for various surgical specialties; pain-free anesthesia for endoscopic procedures such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy; perioperative pain management; and circulatory and respiratory support during the resuscitation of critically ill patients. Our anesthesiologists have extensive clinical experience across multiple institutions, capable of managing routine surgeries while also excelling in complex anesthesia scenarios involving elderly patients, those with multiple comorbidities, and high-risk obstetric cases.
Prior to surgery, the anesthesiologist conducts a preoperative visit to assess cardiopulmonary and other organ functions, evaluate anesthetic risks, and tailor an anesthesia plan based on the type of procedure and the patient’s overall condition. During the operation, vital signs—including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation—are continuously monitored, and the depth of anesthesia is dynamically adjusted to ensure surgical safety. Following the procedure, patients are transferred to the post-anesthesia care unit for close monitoring until they achieve stable recovery. The department also participates in the resuscitation of critically ill patients within the hospital, providing airway management as well as analgesia and sedation. Although the Department of Anesthesiology does not directly admit outpatients, it ensures the safety of all surgical procedures and painless diagnostic examinations throughout the hospital, thereby facilitating the smooth execution of various surgical and endoscopic interventions.
