Plastic surgery integrates reconstructive and restorative procedures with aesthetic interventions, balancing functional recovery and cosmetic enhancement. It addresses congenital deformities, post‑traumatic tissue defects, scar‑related conditions, and a wide range of cosmetic needs. The department’s services are divided into two major areas: reconstructive surgery and medical aesthetics. In the reconstructive domain, it manages post‑traumatic skin and soft‑tissue defects, treats scar contractures, performs late‑stage reconstructive surgery for burns and scalds, and repairs surgical wounds following excision of cutaneous tumors. In collaboration with hand surgery, it also undertakes late‑stage aesthetic reconstruction of hand and foot deformities, as well as the treatment of axillary osmidrosis, large cutaneous pigmented nevi, and various refractory wound cases. In the field of medical aesthetics, it offers services such as scar revision, management of pigmentary lesions, and localized reconstructive procedures.

In the field of reconstructive and restorative surgery, our focus is on addressing tissue deformities and functional limitations that arise after trauma or surgery. For example, we treat hypertrophic scars and keloids resulting from injuries or surgical procedures, employing a variety of approaches—including pharmacologic therapies, injections, and surgical revision—to both improve cosmetic appearance and alleviate movement restrictions caused by scar contractures. We also address pigmented nevi and cutaneous lesions on the body surface, achieving complete excision while ensuring meticulous wound closure to minimize postoperative scarring. For certain wounds that are slow to heal, we utilize plastic‑surgical techniques to promote optimal wound healing. Our department places patient safety first, adhering rigorously to aseptic surgical principles in all procedures. We tailor treatment plans to each patient’s individual circumstances, avoiding overtreatment. Prior to surgery, we engage in thorough communication about expected outcomes and transparently disclose potential risks; postoperatively, we provide meticulous dressing changes and follow-up care, along with guidance on anti‑scar management, to ensure favorable results. We welcome patients with residual scars from trauma, cutaneous masses, or tissue defects and deformities who seek reconstructive or restorative intervention. For cosmetic procedures, we strictly adhere to medical indications, prioritizing health and safety above all else.
