On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, the Party Branch of Wuxi Haijia Hospital organized a core team of medical professionals from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Preventive Health Care to visit the Fengying Community Home-Based Elderly Care Service Center in Mashan Subdistrict (Wuxi Taihu National Tourism Resort), providing health and wellness support to senior citizens.

Traditional Chinese Medicine physicians took the elderly patients’ pulses and patiently addressed their questions about health maintenance; internal medicine and surgical specialists carefully inquired about their medical history and current medications, offering guidance tailored to their individual conditions; preventive care physicians reminded residents to pay attention to daily lifestyle adjustments to help prevent common autumn‑related ailments. Nurses measured blood pressure, recorded relevant information, and provided on‑site assistance. With clear divisions of labor and seamless collaboration, the various departments delivered attentive, well‑organized care.

Wuxi Haijia Hospital consistently prioritizes the health needs of the elderly. The hospital has introduced a no-registration-fee policy for patients aged 70 and above, integrating care into its everyday clinical practice. This initiative to bring healthcare services directly to local communities not only brings high-quality medical resources closer to seniors but also provides them with added peace of mind during the holiday season.

Respecting and caring for the elderly is a time-honored virtue of the Chinese nation. Upholding the service philosophy of “making healthcare more compassionate,” Wuxi Haijia Hospital will continue to deliver patient‑centered medical services, enhance the experience of elderly patients, and wholeheartedly safeguard the health of the community.
